In addition to your regularly ordered items, there are other item types deemed "special" that can be ordered in the Catalog.
Demand items: Items that are not stocked at your Sysco company but can be purchased through Sysco Shop.
Remote items: Items that come from the Central Warehouse.
These items are notated on the Catalog in grey letters as either Demand Special Delivery or Remote Special Delivery.
Hovering over the notation will produce a tooltip with more information about the special item type.
There are also Stock Type Filter options when searching the catalog that will allow you to either include or exclude these special items in your search results.
These items cannot be canceled or modified once they are ordered. When checking out, you'll see an alert message if your cart has any Demand or Remote items.
Remote and Demand items typically have an earlier cut off time than stocked items and may not arrive with your delivery. Therefore, we recommend you contact your Sysco sales associate before placing an order with these special items.
