Customers with user management permissions can use Portal to manage access to the Sysco CX product suite (Sysco Delivery, Portal and Sysco Shop) for other users. This includes adding additional locations and updating permissions for existing users.
The Manage Users feature lives in the Account Icon on the far right hand side of Portal. If you do not have access to the Manage Users feature, please contact your Sales Consultant.
Add a New User
Click the Add User button to add permissions for a new user.
You will be prompted for the user's full name and email. The email you use will be that user's login for Sysco Portal, Shop, and Delivery.
Now, select the drop-down menu to Add Accounts & Locations. If you have one location, that field will automatically populate. If you have multiple locations, you'll need to choose which location(s) the new user should have access to.
Then, set permissions for the user’s access by checking the desired boxes. The access doesn't have to be the same for each location.
The permission checkboxes are:
Account Balance - Should the user be able to view the account balance in Portal?
View/Place Orders - Should this user be able to view or submit an order in Shop?
Upcoming Deliveries - Should this user be able to track the delivery using the mobile Delivery app?
User Management - Should this user have permission to the Manage Users feature to add or change permissions?
Once you're done, click Save to add the new user.
An activation email will then be sent to the user you just created. They will need to click the activation link in the email to complete the registration and set their password.
Remove an existing user
Anyone with access to Manage Users can remove another user’s access from an account completely.
Click the trash icon on the row with the user's name and permissions.
Then click Continue to confirm the action.
After clicking the Continue button, you will see a confirmation message in Portal that the user has been deleted.
Note: The deleted user will receive an email stating their account has been deactivated and will be removed after 14 days, and the email address will be unavailable to use for registration during that time.
